  ARGOLIC CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Spetses transfer to yacht. Time to relax get to know your surroundings and the boat, while your captain serves you a cool welcome drink and familiarises you with the boat, the cruise itinerary and of course talks to you about safety on board which is of the utmost importance for an enjoyable cruise. The evening in lively Spetses and the Old Harbour with its nightlife is the greatest start to any holiday. Spetses is last of the Saronic islands. Today’s visitors have the chance to re-live those heroic times, surrounded by remarkable historic sites which are maintained with love and care. The famous Spetses boatyards are all around the Old Harbour. The island is very popular with tourists and Athenians alike.
Day 2: After an early breakfast sail away to one of the gorgeous beaches at the back of Spetses sailing past the private island of Niarchos the well known Greek Ship-owner. In the afternoon after lunch in one of the many tavernas on the beach sail away towards the coast of Peloponnese to Nafplion with its imposing castle on the hillside. Mix with the locals in the evening in the old narrow streets with the beautiful mansions and squares. Later on, a coffee or a drink, in one of the many café bars on the waterfront.
Day 3: Breakfast on board and then the choice is yours, either join one of the optional excursions to Mycenae, the town of Agamemnon to see the impressive ruins of Homer’s Mycenae, the grand lion’s gate and the tomb of Agamemnon and Clytemnistra or sail away to your next destination. We recommend not to miss the opportunity of this visit to Mycenae. Whatever your choice your next stop will be at a secluded beach down the coast for more swimming, sunbathing etc and then on to Leonidion, a quite little typical village down the Argolic coast. The small hamlet under the towering cliffs is a pleasant, mostly unspoilt spot. The fertile valley winds between the high mountains to Leonidion town about 30 minutes away by taxi.
Day 4: After breakfast down the coast stopping in Yerakas a very quite fishing village. The small hamlet surrounded by the hostile mountains of the Parnon is hardly touched by outside influences. In the hot afternoon the whole hamlet snoozes until the cool of evening when things come to life again. Next evening stop in Monemvasia one of the most impressive little towns in this part of Greece. The picturesque castle with its narrow streets, full of shops restaurants all decorated in monemvassian style.
Day 5: Early start after breakfast, more swimming, relaxing, sunbathing in one of the lovely spots of this magnificent coast. Later on, up the coast cruising towards your next stop for the evening Kiparissi a little fisherman’s village, left unspoiled by time. The little bay, surrounded by mountains make it a very spectacular spot. A favourite little harbour with many boatman.
Day 6: A very early start for the journey to Astros the rocky headland connected by a low isthmus (on which the village is built) to the Peloponnese, looks like an island from the distance. Astros is a bustling fishing village and tourist resort. The medieval castle on the top of the hill is well worth the up hill walk. The region is noted for its orchards and particularly for its peaches.
Day 7: After breakfast cruising up the coast heading towards Tolon and the little islands in the bay of Tolon a very popular resort for holiday makers with a lot of shops, tavernas, bars etc in the streets behind the long sandy beach. One of the best areas for underwater fishing. Late in the afternoon back to Spetses old harbour for your last evening. The evening is your captain’s, he will take you out for his captain’s dinner, in one of the tavernas of his choice, for a meal at his expense and who knows maybe a bit or a lot of Greek dancing later on.
