To visit Amorgos you can either fly to Athens and take a ferryboat to Amorgos or you can fly to Naxos, Paros or Mykonos as there are frequent departures to and from Amorgos to the rest of the Cyclades.  "SKOPELITIS EXPRESS" starting from the port of Katapola connects Amorgos to the other Cyclades on a daily basis.

There is also a ferry from Amorgos to the Dodecanese once a week.

If you decide to fly to Athens there are boats from Piraeus 5-8 times a week in the summer.  On the conventional boats the journey takes between 7 and 9 hours but there are now the high speed services and these take 4-5 hours.
