You can get to Ios from many other islands so you can take your pick of where you wish to fly to and from.

From Athens, PIRAEUS to IOS: 7 to 8 hours with the normal Ferry Services Hellas Ferries or Blue Star Ferries OR 3 1/2 hours with the High Speed Minoan Line Ferries or Minoan Flying Dolphins.

From Athens, RAFINA to IOS: 3 1/2 hours with the Sea jet Lines.

From SANTORINI or NAXOS ports to IOS: 1 1/2 hours with normal ferry or 45 minutes with the Flying Cat and High Speed Ferries.

From PAROS to IOS: 3 hours with normal ferry or 1 1/2 hours with the Flying Cat, and High Speed Lines.

From MYKONOS to IOS: 4 hours with normal Ferry or 2 hours with the Flying Cat, and High Speed ferries.

From CRETE HERAKLION to IOS: 2 1/2 hours with the Flying Cat.
