  SARONIC CRUISE ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Spetses transfer to yacht. Time to relax, get to know your surroundings and the boat, while your captain serves you a cool welcome drink and familiarises you with the boat, the cruise itinerary and off course talks to you about your safety on board which is of the utmost importance for an enjoyable cruise. The evening in Lively Spetses and the Old Harbour with its night life, is the greatest start to any holiday. Spetses is the last of the Saronic Gulf islands. Today’s visitors have the chance to re-live those heroic times surrounded by remarkable historic sites which are maintained with love and care. The famous Spetses boat-yards are all around the old harbour. The island is very popular with tourists and Athenians alike.
Day 2: Departure for your cruise after breakfast to one of the gorgeous beaches on the back of the island of Spetses past the private island of Niarchos the well known ship-owner. After your swim in the clear crystal waters and lunch by the water in one of the tavernas, at bays like Aghii Anargyri, Zogheria, Xylokerisa , time to sail on along the coast opposite Spetses to your next stop Ermioni a very quite harbour on the Peloponesse were the pace of life is still a few years behind, like it used to be before tourism. A quite evening after a meal in one of the local tavernas.
Day 3: After a not very early breakfast your captain will cruise you to Dokos an island nearby for your swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling, etc. Dokos is inhabited by a couple of families and it has one of the best little gulfs for stopping for a swim. Up the coast and stopping at some more places past Tselevinia for your next stop Poros. It begins as the boat rounds the headland into the strait between Poros and the Peloponesse. Sheer magic. A darling cluster of blue and white houses tumble down the hill to the harbour front. A popular island with boat owners because of its safe mooring. In the evening sipping an ouzo or two you can enjoy one of the best sunsets in Greece. The choice of entertainment is vast on Poros where night life goes on well into the early hours of the morning.
Day 4: Not a very early start, after breakfast you will cruise down the straits of Poros and on to Methana and Vathi in the Methana peninsula, a small fishing village. The hamlet is quite unspoilt. Some swimming and windsurfing and on to your next evening stop at Old Epidavros. Set at the base of steep wooded slopes, Old Epidavros is an attractive small village. However the real attraction is Epidavros Theatre about 30 minutes away by taxi. This theatre is accepted to be the best preserved of all Greek theatres and one of the finest pieces of classical architecture in existence. The acoustics of the theatre are perfect. In the evening there is a wide choice of restaurants at the water front to choose from.
Day 5: After breakfast and your visit, if you decide, to the Theatre of Epidavros, sail away to Agistri one of the nearby islands. Agistri is hilly and is covered for the most part by pine trees. Some beautiful beaches for swimming your captain will take to the best. Then to Aegina. The island is very popular with tourists and Athenians alike. The temple of Aphaia on the NE corner of the island has been called the most perfectly developed classical temple in Ancient Greece. In calm weather Aghia Marina is the nearest place to the temple. Your captain will anchor there for you to visit the temple, weather permitting. Your next stop for the evening is Perdika, a fishing village with very good fishing Tavernas a popular bay with boatmen.
Day 6: Early breakfast and down the coast again towards Tselevinia and stopping for a swim in little coves on the back of Poros island and Soupia island. Then on to Mandraki a little bay before Hydra harbour, excellent for swimming in the dark blue deep waters. For the evening Hydra harbour. The most impressive of the Saronic Gulf islands, the island of Hydra has been loved photographed and painted by many, a charm of its own. Its probably impossible to fit all of Hydra’s fascinating beauty in this small description. On the front and up the little narrow streets you will find some of the best shops, restaurants, bars etc. Hydra is probably the only place in Greece where not only cars but motor-bikes and bicycles are not allowed. Your evening amongst the jetsetters will be a very memorable one.
Day 7: After a not very early breakfast cruise away to places like Vliho, Bisti and the small islands past Dokos for a swim and then on to Costa and Porto Heli for lunch. Late in the afternoon back to Spetses old Harbour for your last evening. The evening is your captains, he will take you out for his captain’s dinner, in one of the tavernas of his choice for a meal at his expense and who knows maybe a bit or a lot of Greek dancing later on.
